Your account

You need to be 13 or older. Keep your password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you. One person, one account.

What you post

Your recipes, photos and notes remain yours. By posting them you give us permission to display and distribute them on withsalt, which is simply what publishing on a social platform requires. You can withdraw that at any time by deleting the content or your account.

Post only what you have the right to post. In particular:

• Don’t upload other people’s photos or writing as your own. A recipe’s ingredient list generally isn’t protected by copyright, but the words, photographs and headnotes around it are.
• Don’t post anything abusive, hateful, harassing, sexual, or designed to deceive.
• Don’t post fake ratings or reviews, whether for yourself or anyone else.
• Don’t spam, scrape, or automate access without asking us first.

We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Where it’s reasonable to do so, we’ll tell you why.

Cooking is your responsibility

Recipes on withsalt are written by their authors, not tested or verified by us. Cooking involves heat, sharp tools, raw ingredients and allergens. Use your judgement — particularly around food safety, cooking temperatures and allergies. Ingredient lists may be incomplete or wrong. If you have an allergy, check for yourself; don’t rely on a recipe page.

Availability

withsalt is free and provided as-is. We don’t promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. If we ever shut the service down, we’ll give reasonable notice and a way to export your recipes.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of withsalt.

Ending it

You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of [England and Wales — confirm], and disputes go to its courts.
