Cook macaroni until just under al dente. Drain.

Make cheese sauce: melt butter, add flour, gradually add milk. Stir in most of the cheese, mustard and nutmeg.

Mix pasta and sauce. Pour into a dish. Top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs.
